The Bridge Sarasota Private School

The Bridge Sarasota is a non-traditional private school, which means that all of the families in our school are home educating their children. Many of our private school families also participate in our academy co-op classes. The Bridge Sarasota Private School gives homeschool families the advantage of private school enrollment while maintaining the curricular freedom inherent in homeschooling. Families have the freedom to home educate their children, while we provide record-keeping, oversight and guidance. The Bridge Private School is a diverse and flexible home educational support program. We offer higher levels of accountability to homeschooling families. The Bridge Private School emphasizes leadership, higher level thinking, and authentic communication with a focus on project-based and experiential education – live it to learn it!

The philosophy of The Bridge is rooted in the firm belief that students are unique individuals, created in the image of God, and therefore, capable of self-learning once shown how. Students are not containers into whom we pour knowledge. Instead, they are filled by the Creator with unique abilities and interests that influence how and what they learn.

Parents hold the ultimate authority in directing the education of their children. In light of this, we at The Bridge strongly urge parents to seek God for an understanding of their child’s calling. When families aim to understand a child’s passion and purpose before high school, they can better prepare the child for the great things God has planned. Our mission is to partner with families in achieving their academic goals by providing a high standard of excellence in accountability.
