Recommended Resources

There is a wealth of information available about homeschooling! We’ve tried to help our families by highlighting what we believe to be some of the most important and helpful resources. We strongly recommend membership in both HSLDA and FPEA during your home education journey.

If you’re looking for personalized assistance or curriculum help please contact us! We would love to personally assist you.

Homeschool Legal Defense Association

We recommend that homeschooling families join HSLDA. Many of our families have utilized services offered by HSLDA. Even if you never experience legal trouble yourself, your HSLDA membership will help enable other homeschooling families to get the legal help they need and will help defend our right to homeschool here in Florida. Membership in HSLDA also gives you personal access to the legal staff and discounts through HSLDA’s PerX program. (Please ask us for our Support Group discount code if you are currently enrolled at The Bridge.)

The Homeschool mom

A website that covers many aspects of homeschooling and has loads of resources.

Home Education foundation

Florida homeschooling rights are largely due to their work! The Home Education Foundation exists for many any reasons, including to promote and unify legislative action among home educators and to evaluate and monitor issues which may affect home educators. Their website has answers to many homeschooling questions. We highly recommend supporting them!

Florida Parent Educators Association

The FPEA serves homeschooling families in Florida with support, guidance, and information. (Please ask us for our Group discount code if you are currently enrolled at The Bridge.)

Bright Futures Scholarship

The Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program establishes lottery-funded scholarships to reward Florida high school graduates for high academic achievement. This scholarship is open to all high school students.

Florida Unschoolers

This is another private school here in Florida. Visit this page to read about 'deschooling' and other thoughts if you are just beginning your home education journey. This is not a Christian school, but the homeschool veteran advice from this site is worth the read.

Florida High School Athletic Association

Does your high school student desire to play sports in college? This site, Florida High School Athletic Association, gives parents tons of information.
